Prostate Cancer Foundation NZ

TECO Partnership with the Prostate Cancer Foundation of New Zealand

In today’s fast-paced world, it’s easy to overlook the importance of regular health check-ups. Prostate cancer is a common concern, affecting millions of men globally. Early detection through routine check-ups is key to ensuring the best outcomes for those affected, as is quality treatment and comprehensive support.

At TECO Electric Motors, we’re not just about cutting-edge technology; we’re also committed to improving lives. We would like to shine a light on the issue of prostate health, its significance, and how TECO Electric Motors is supporting the cause by encouraging regular check-ups and raising funds to help those affected by a prostate cancer diagnosis.

Understanding the Prostate Health Challenge:

Prostate cancer ranks among the most prevalent cancers in men worldwide, with over 1.4 million new cases annually. The challenge lies in its silent progression, often devoid of symptoms until it reaches an advanced stage. One of the key factors in addressing prostate health issues is the adoption of regular check-ups. Early detection through regular check-ups significantly improves the chances of effective treatment.
At TECO New Zealand, are taking steps to make a meaningful difference.

Through our collaboration with The Prostate Cancer Foundation of NZ, we have committed to donating 1% of sales of painted motors to the charity’s awareness initiatives that make men aware of the importance of early detection and to help provide comprehensive, practical support to those affected throughout the country.

Our primary objective at TECO Electric Motors is to increase awareness about the critical role that regular check-ups play in prostate health.

We understand that achieving the best outcomes for those diagnosed with prostate cancer relies on early detection, excellent treatment, and comprehensive support.
Our financial commitment will assist the Foundation to raise awareness of the importance of men talking to their health professionals about getting checked for prostate cancer, to provide essential wrap-around support services for men and their families living with prostate cancer, to deliver public education and awareness initiatives, advocate for better screening, and invest in research to improve clinical outcomes and further knowledge of the disease.

Our aim is to make a positive difference around this health issue that is the second leading cause of cancer death in men in NZ.

Now, we invite you to join us in this cause.
Take the first step towards a healthier future by prioritising your prostate health. Schedule those regular check-ups, encourage your loved ones to do the same, and together, let’s make a difference in the fight against prostate cancer.
Together, we can ensure that every man has the opportunity for a healthier, happier and longer life.
